Layla and Majnun: A Persian Love Story

Written & Recorded’s Serpil Senelmis will host a conversation about the ancient love story Layla and Majnun. The ancient tale is being performed as a dance production as part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Joining Serpil onstage for this conversation will be Azerbaijani musicologist Aida Huseynova and Iranian-born author Shokoofeh Azar. Together they’ll explore the legend of Layla and Majnun as part of the Persian storytelling tradition.
